Erasmus+ Exchange (International Credit Mobility)

The EU pays students at partner universities worldwide to spend a funded semester or year in Europe — but you apply through your home university, not to Brussels. Most students never find out which European partnerships their own university holds; the international office has the list.

Insider tips

  1. 01Walk into your international office and ask for the list of Erasmus+ partner universities and the next nomination deadline. That single conversation is the whole secret.
  2. 02Fewer students apply than you'd expect — the funded slots at many universities go unfilled.
  3. 03A funded exchange semester is the cheapest way to get a European professor who can later write you a reference or host your thesis.
