Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM)

Insider tips
- 01Use all 3 programme slots — pick one ambitious, one realistic, one safe choice based on your grades and profile.
- 02Read the consortium's selection criteria PDF. They publish exactly how points are awarded (grades, motivation, references, experience). Write your motivation letter against that rubric.
- 03Tailor the motivation letter to the consortium, not to 'Europe'. Name specific courses, labs, and professors in the partner universities.
- 04Email alumni on LinkedIn — most Erasmus Mundus alumni (including this site's founder) reply and will tell you what the selection committee valued.
- 05Recommendation letters from professors who actually know your work beat famous names who don't.
- 06Apply in your final bachelor year — you don't need to wait until you graduate.
